Case study: Monash University’s Climate Change Communication Research Hub
The Queensland Government, through the Department of Environment and Science, has sponsored the delivery of place-based information packs in towns and cities across Queensland through Monash University’s Climate Change Communication Research Hub.
The world-class information packages give insight into how the climate has been changing at specific locations across the state.
These information packages provide visual information that supports busy Queenslanders to better understand how the climate is changing in their location.
This is an important first step in supporting Queenslanders to better prepare themselves, and their families, communities, and businesses, for these climatic changes and for changes projected to occur into the future.
The visual information packages are similar to those used by television stations across Australia to share the pressing reality of changing climatic trends in our cities and regions.
