Case study: Kamilaroi airborne magnetic survey
The Geological Survey of Queensland has completed a high-resolution airborne magnetic survey north of Mount Isa, following known trends of cobalt mineralisation associated with major copper deposits in the region. This survey has provide high resolution definition of geological structures prospective for this style of mineralisation.
Cobalt and copper are examples of “critical minerals” and crucial in the shift to electrification of modern energy systems.
