Come along to this public showcase of the youth researchers and their projects funded under the Queensland Government’s Youth Research Grant (YRG) program.

We're talking projects covering all sorts of topics like climate change and environmental sustainability, health and wellbeing, sustainable development and communities, and future foods. And you get to be part of the action! So, make sure you've got your energy levels up 'cause you'll be wandering between tables and chatting with some seriously talented young researchers about their findings.

And the best part? Everyone's invited! No need to RSVP, just show up and be ready to engage with some seriously cool projects. We're talking ‘Meating Culture’, a digital solution to get us all munching on alternative protein products (yum!). And then there's ‘The Sentiment Log’, where you'll get an inside look into what it's like to be a young person living in regional South East Queensland! Plus many more!

So, grab your friends, family, and anyone else who's keen and come on down to the Youth Research Showcase. It's gonna be a blast!

What is the Youth Research Grant (YRG) program?

In 2022 $1.4 million was provided across seven Queensland Universities to stimulate interest in research which reflects the needs and views of young people through enabling them to be involved in setting priorities and selection of research projects.

The YRG program has allowed for young people to directly influence research priorities, which they can they use as a tool to advocate for positive change for all young Queenslanders.
