Experiment with photography and software techniques to make a digital artwork and find out about careers in the creative industries with artist and educator, Julia Scott Green from QUT Widening Participation.
Ages 14–17.
Using her own own education and work experience as a jumping off point, Julia will offer insight into the many opportunities for young people to turn their love for art into a career.
She’ll outline the three main areas and jobs in the creative industries: Fine Arts, Communication, and Design—and she’ll touch on the importance of creative skills such as problem solving, critical thinking, digital literacy, and community mindedness in all future jobs.
Libraries are operating in line with Queensland’s Covid Safe Future Roadmap, including adhering to social distancing requirements.
