The Queensland Government is the first in Australia to secure a unique partnership with the world’s most popular video sharing website YouTube. The Create Queensland program with YouTube is a shot in the arm for our state’s growing band of digital content creators.
Offered under Advance Queensland in partnership with Queensland University of Technology and Griffith University, those set to benefit from the program include:
- screen and creative industries
- small to medium sized businesses
- creative entrepreneurs.
Queensland is already home to some of the world’s leading YouTube creators, including game developers Halfbrick Studio. Halfbrick’s most popular games include global sensations Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride. At last count, Fruit Ninja has been downloaded over 1 billion times.
This initiative will help ‘supercharge’ our creative entrepreneurs by providing not only funding but advice, education and support from 2 of our state’s leading universities.
