Professor Jing Huang, Director-General of the China National Centre for Biotechnology Development (CNCBD) led a delegation of senior research and business leaders from bio-industry companies to Queensland.
Dr Hongjian Ma, Deputy Director-General, China National Centre for Biotechnology Development (CNCBD) led a delegation that visited Brisbane and the Gold Coast to coincide with the 2014 AusBiotech National Conference.
Air Quality Workshop—December 2015
The former Department of Science, Information Technology and Innovation hosted a Queensland-China Air Quality Workshop as part of the Australia-China Centre for Air Quality Science and Management (ACC/AQSM) annual meeting held in Brisbane from 1 to 3 December 2015.
Delegates from universities in mainland China and Hong Kong included Professor Jiming Hao, Dean of the Institute of Environmental Science and Engineering at Tsinghua University. The workshop, followed by a dinner meeting, showcased Queensland’s industry capability in air quality monitoring and management services, and our role as 2017 host of the 23rd International Clean Air and Environment Conference.
Life Sciences Workshops—June 2015
Delegates from the China National Centre for Biotechnology Development (CNCBD) attended workshops in June 2015 on vaccine development and industrial biotechnology, hosted by the QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute and The University of Queensland. Following the workshop a networking reception was held at the Ecosciences Precinct, Dutton Park, hosted by Queensland’s Science Minister, in honour of Professor Jing Huang, Director-General of the CNCBD.
