About the exhibition

The Art meets Science Exhibition is an opportunity for artists from across South East Queensland to join the artists participating in the Artist in Residence Science program in showcasing their recent artworks that demonstrate a strong art-science connection.

The partner organisations at the Ecosciences Precinct (ESP) Dutton Park hold a number of public and internal events during National Science week. Since 2012, one of these events has been the hosting of an Art meets Science Exhibition. The Exhibitions have proved to be very popular with visitors to the building and the approximately 800 science workers at ESP.

Background

The Science Division has hosted regular Artist in Residence Science Program (AIRS) since 2015. These residencies culminated in Art meets science exhibitions that showcase the work of the participating and other invited artists.

Artists are invited

Artists from across South East Queensland are invited to join the AIRS artists to showcase their recent artworks that demonstrate a strong Art-Science nexus. If your work meets the criteria please apply to exhibit your artwork in this exhibition.
