The Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital is the largest Paediatric hospital facility in Australia. It is the major specialist children’s hospital for families living in Queensland and northern New South Wales. The hospital provides care to the state’s sickest and most critically injured children who need highly specialised care. Our world-class clinicians and researchers are working closely with research partners to tranform health care for children and young people. LCCH has a number of major multidisciplinary paediatric and adolescent research programmes including: oncology; infectious diseases; child protection and forensic medicine; rehabilitation; respiratory illness; emergency; burns and trauma; clinical care and epidemiological research. Most of our researchers are co-located in the state-of-the-art Centre for Children’s Health Research adjacent to the Hospital
