Griffith is one of Australia’s leading comprehensive research universities with research strengths ranging from the physical and natural sciences, engineering, IT, health and medicine through to creative arts, social sciences and humanities. Griffith University ranks in the top 3 per cent of universities worldwide, and also ranks highly as a young university – 34th in the 2016/17 QS University Rankings Top 50 Under 50. Griffith has built a reputation for progressive and pioneering fields such as Asian studies and environmental science. Griffith’s research continues to focus on key scientific questions and social issues confronting national and international communities by bringing together disciplines to find solutions that create social, health, environmental or economic impact. The University spans five campuses in South East Queensland, and has around 50,000 students and more than 3,000 academics who engage in learning, teaching and research-related activity.
