Centre for Biophotonics and Laser Science (CBLS)

CBLS develops new biotechnology, medical and engineering applications in laser technology and undertakes fundamental research in laser science. Our research includes: fundamentals of light-matter interactions; biological imaging and sensing; biological spectroscopy and devices; laser manipulation; and biomedical and clinical applications.

  • 3 dedicated laser tweezers systems, and a confocal microscope system with fluorescence imaging
