The Department of Environment and Science is proposing to designate Beerwah Forest Reserve as a proposed protected area under the Nature Conservation Act 1992.

Proposed protected area designation – Forest reserve – public notice required pursuant to Section 70K of the Nature Conservation Act 1992

The Department of Environment and Science gives notice of the proposed designation:

Beerwah Forest Reserve as part of Glasshouse Mountains Conservation Park, to be described as lot 2 on AP23777, containing an area of about 29.2687 hectares, about 69km north of Brisbane within the locality of Beerwah.

Any entity may comment about the proposal to the chief executive of the Department of Environment and Science, or in writing to Tenure Services directed to tenureservices@des.qld.gov.au, PO Box 15187, City East, QLD, 4002.

Comments received between 9 June 2023 and 14 July 2023 will be considered by the department.

Amendments to the QPWS estate under the Nature Conservation (Forest Reserves) Regulation 2000 are administered by the Department of Environment and Science.
