The Department of Environment and Science is proposing to make an amendment to the forestry estate and is seeking views in consideration of the Human Rights Act 2019, including Aboriginal peoples’ and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultural rights.

The amendments proposed to be made are as follows:

Revoke:

  • the setting apart and declaration of part of Passchendaele State Forest, described as lot 263 on plan FTY1498 (to be described as lot 1 on SP312458), containing an area of 1.778 hectares, about 16km northwest of Stanthorpe.

Comment regarding the proposed amendment to the forestry estate must be in writing and directed to tenureservices@des.qld.gov.au or the Department of Environment and Science, Tenure Services, PO Box 15187, City East, QLD, 4002.

Comments received by 9 November 2023 will be considered by the department.

Amendments to the forestry estate under the Forestry (State Forests) Regulation 1987 are administered by the Department of Environment and Science.
