This page provides the official list of the department’s consultations and statutory public notices (those that are open for feedback); statutory notifications (those that are for information only); and links to key topics with ongoing notifications.
In 2021, amendments to the Financial Accountability Act 2009 require Queensland Government agencies to publish information, public notices and advertising required by State law online. This is a change from the previous requirement to publish in print.
While there are some exemptions to the online publishing measure, allowing for print publication in limited circumstances, a corresponding online listing will also be published on this page.

The Department of Environment and Science is undertaking a ground baiting program from 24 February 2023 to 24 February 2024. Manufactured baits will be used to control feral pigs and foxes on Conway National Park (Lot 43 on NPW1144 and Lot 1 on NPW1145), Dryander National Park (Lot 24 on AP19346), Dryander State Forest (Lot 432 on AP19346) and Dryander Forest Reserve (Lot 5 on AP19346).
Dogs and other domestic animals are not permitted within the protected areas.
Steps must be taken to ensure domestic dogs do not gain access to the baits or poisoned animals. Neighbours should restrain dogs and other domestic animals during baiting programs. -

The Department of Environment and Science is undertaking an aerial baiting program on 6 October 2022.
Sodium Fluoroacetate (1080) meat baits will be used to control feral pigs on Conway National Park (Lot 43 on NPW1144 and Lot 1 on NPW1145), Dryander National Park (Lot 24 on AP19346), Dryander State Forest (Lot 432 on AP19346) and Dryander Forest Reserve (Lot 5 on AP19346).

Sale of seized cattle from Olkola and Alwal National Parks (Cape York Peninsula Aboriginal Land) Public notification

QPWS Northern Region has recently implemented a seizure of stray cattle on Olkola and Alwal NPS (CYPAL). Olkola Aboriginal Corporation have applied for a permit to muster unclaimed stray stock remaining on the parks after neighbours have mustered their stock. In accordance with the Nature Conservation Act (Protected Areas Management) Regulations 2017, QPWS must publish a notice advising of the sale (see relevant section below). The seized cattle cannot be sold within 20 business days of this notice being published.

The draft plan sets out a cooperative management approach for looking after Country and culture. Community members are invited to put forward their views on the draft plan by completing the online survey.
