Ongoing works, Noosa National Park Coastal Walk

Issued: 31 Jan 2022

A section of the Noosa National Park Coastal Walk will be temporarily closed as the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) undertakes work to upgrade the track and reduce the impact of visitors to the park.

The Coastal Walk between Winch Cove and Hell's Gates will be closed between now and 1 April 2022.

QPWS rangers have put a detour in place to ensure visitor access from Park Road to Sunshine Beach will remain open during this time.

The path upgrade includes natural paving and resurfacing to reduce environmental impacts and improve visitor experience for those visiting the Hells’ Gate headland.

Visitors to the park are asked to exercise caution along all park access roads, observe all signs, barriers and directions from rangers and to not enter closed areas.

This is the first stage of the project, and facilities will reopen when construction is completed.

Members of the public can monitor park alerts for updated information.
