DES investigating alleged illegal waste storage

DES compliance officers along with the Queensland Police Service (QPS) and the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) recently inspected a site allegedly operating unlawful waste activities in Willawong.

It is estimated there are between 20,000-30,000 used tyres on the premises, which is also being used for a number of other alleged unlawful activities, including storage of automotive and other types of waste.
