back to Plant licences and permits

Under the Nature Conservation Act 1992, all plant species indigenous to Australia are protected plants. This includes hybrids comprised partly or entirely of protected plants. Protected plants can be used for a range of commercial purposes in Queensland. 'Commercial purposes', under the Nature Conservation Act 1992, generally entail the use of wildlife as part of a business. A licence, permit or authority may be required to use protected plants for a commercial purpose.
