This project involves research and monitoring.
Training will be provided.
Anyone over 18 years of age with excellent health and fitness. This is a program of scientific research which requires you to walk multiple kilometres in soft sand every night, in the dark, and in all weather conditions. Please consider whether your health and fitness will allow this before applying.
Accommodation
We provide an onsite campground; however, you will need to supply your own tent & camping equipment. Conditions can be extremely hot and humid and will include periods of heavy rain.
Cost
Volunteers & staff pay into a “kitty” for communal food purchase and participate in a roster of cooking and cleaning.
You may also be interested in the other volunteer opportunities at Mon Repos including supporting the Mon Repos Turtle Centre, supporting the Mon Repos team during the nesting season or assistance maintaining the Mon Repos park.
