How to apply

Please submit one email, with the below documents, for each project you are applying for by:

  • using the ‘Application email address’ link provided for each project; or
  • emailing CareerPathways@des.qld.gov.au with the subject line in the format of ‘Industry Placement Application – Name of project’.

You are required to attach:

  1. An up-to-date resume.
  2. A brief letter (max. 1 page) demonstrating why you are interested in the placement and that you have the skills and experience required for the project. You may need to tailor your response if you are applying for multiple placement opportunities.
  3. Copy of academic record.
  4. Letter of endorsement from the tertiary institution, including verification of enrolment in an industry placement course, and public liability insurance.

Some of the placement opportunities have specific requirements (e.g., unrestricted drivers licence) so be sure to read each placement opportunity carefully before applying. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
