Case study: Mount Tom Soil Carbon Project
A 15-year, $779,000 collaboration between the Queensland Government and AgriProve Pty. Ltd is increasing soil health and organic carbon on a grazing property in the Gladstone region. The project, which is funded under the Queensland Government’s flagship Land Restoration Fund, is seeing multi-species pasture planted to sequester soil carbon and delivering co-benefits for biodiversity, Great Barrier Reef water quality, and employment in the local region.
