Case study: Australian Gas Network Hydrogen Park Gladstone (HyP Gladstone)
Australian Gas Networks (AGN) will establish a A$4.2 million renewable hydrogen plant, able to deliver up to 10% hydrogen blended into the natural gas network across Gladstone's 770 residential, small commercial and industrial customer base. Hydrogen will be produced using certified green power from the local power grid. The project has been supported by an offer of up to A$1.78 million in funding through the Queensland Government’s Hydrogen Industry Development Fund. The facility can be readily scaled-up in the future to produce additional volumes of hydrogen. AGN have also partnered with Central Queensland University to provide access to the facility to upskill its staff and students in hydrogen technologies.
